Learning to Tuft
Learning to Tuft
In October, we acquired the tools to start tufting some rugs!
We set out to expand our offerings in home goods, inspired by our projects of 2020-22, which included latch hook patterns, quilted pillows and bags, and cement tea light holders
These projects took a considerable
amount of time, of which we had plenty around this period, and we plan to spend a considerable amount of time making quality pieces for your home and ours
We'll begin to offer tufted pieces in Winter 2025, starting with simple designs that represent our research and development

This is our first attempt at our classic logo, mirrored, projected onto the canvas, and traced

We started with the outline of the letters and flower, filling in each shape thereafter

This is how the front of the rug looks at this point

This is the back about 95% done. The gold and cream colored threads were tufted at the same time, resulting in a wonderfully unique pattern

This is the rug after being cut, backed, and shaved to an even surface. The details of the design really pop out as the surface is shaved

This was a free hand design using the rest of a number of bundles of yarn, given as a housewarming gift to my friends Jackson and Vienna!
